1. Why SixTrue?

1.
Most of the existing piracy-proof products are serial or rehershal, which means that they are made following some reproducible technologies, or imitative methods. SixTrue distinguishes itself thanks to its own characteristic of a univocal and non-reproducible sign, which gives every single product it has been applied to, its own “finger-print”, as the global guarantee for its genuinity.

It is true that there are other systems, which safeguard the non-duplicability of some products, but the ascertainment of the orginality itself cannot be done by the consumers themselves: it must be effected through some inspectors, with some special arrangements. Also, the companies can count on limited outlay budgets only, and they cannot afford a net of costly inspections, and, last but not least, the inspectors are not public officers, who are authorized to perform the controls on items belonging to third persons.

By involvng the consumer himself, who can check if the product is original or fake. The consumer must use the mobile phone, which is an instrument nowadays available to the most users of products demanding the proof of originality. In case of a negative ascertainment about which the company is automatically informed, the inspection process can start immediately and effectively.

It is true that another system makes use of the mobile phone, but SixTrue represents an essential difference in the follow-up checking, because it matches a tactile verification to the system
ascertainment. The following example will better explain the difference between the two systems. Let's suppose that a forgery buys an original product bearing a univocal code from the other system, and that he makes 999 copies of it with the same print system. The consumers buy the 999 copies and the original item, and all the 1,000 consumers send their control SMS's out.
The system is capable of detecting that there are 999 copies on the market, but the inspectors are not able to state which is the original, because all the 1,000 pieces are exactly the same. The 999 forgeries can be detected by SixTrue either because there is no correspondance between the number and the position of the dots of the copies with the original, for it is impossible to allocate them in the same position, and, if that happened, this will be intimated in the answer message, or, in the case of some photocopies, the customer himself will realize the forgery immediately, because he will know by feel that there are no Braille raised dots in the label.

The companies will promote campaigns through marketing, to enhance the control of the original at the consumers' , eg. Collection of coupons exchangeable for prizes chosen from a catalogue, or drawing of a lottery with important prizes, according to product sold and the marketing inventiveness. Ths kind of actions is well accepted by the market nowadays, as it is proved by the success of these collections with the Petrol companies, the purchase of some products of Vodafone's via SMS, which gives the consumer tha right to take part in the drawing for a Mercedes Model SLK, the success of TV quizzes (Milionario) , where, at the cost of EUR 1.00 it is possible to win by lot EUR 1,000.00, by answering a simple question correctly.

How many SMS’s or emails can a consumer send for each purchase?
-
6.
Just once. If the same request is sent more than once from the same mobile phone or email address the system recognizes that it is the same product and communicates that a control has already been requested by the same sender. If the request is made from a different mobile phone or email address to the first one (e.g. from relatives), the system will send a message indicating doubtful authenticity and the senders may be contacted for a further control. Once it has been proved that the messages have been generated by the same source, no inspection is activated.

No, the label has a protected digital fingerprint. It is not visible either to the seller or to the potential consumer. Only the purchaser can check the authenticity of the product by removing the seal covering the identification data and sending an SMS or email.

What kind of advantage has a consumer who buys a product and who discovers that it is fake?
-

All the companies adopting the SixTrue guarantee the replacement of the fake product with an original one, after receiving back the fake product, with its label and the relevant purchase bill, which identifies the seller. In this way, that is with an original product guaranted by the producer the consumer is preserved from any possible damages derivating from using a fake product, damages which are strictly related to the kind of product.
